Enterprise Animation (What a Difference a Day Makes)

Enterprise animation events are informal one day activities, supported with a ‘hook’ to encourage participants to attend – in an educational setting this nights be the chance to meet a local role model operating a business in a vocational area linked to the students area of study, or free gardening advice from an expert for people interested in community allotments or earning a living from a hobby or interes.

The events are designed to dispel the myth that business, enterprise, employment is ‘not for the likes of us, to build student confidence in their own skills, abilities and to raise aspirations about what can be achieved.

In education we run a for workshop programme for up to 100 students from any school, department or faculty, highlighting how to make the most of the skills and experiences on their current programmes, being challenged to solve industry/business problems relevant to their area of study, being given information about and challenged to consider employment and business opportunities relevant to their area of study, and meeting local role models.
